The UNITE HERE Local 7 Baltimore Hospitality Academy is accepting applicants for its NEW Culinary Training (60 hrs) program.
Trainees who successfully complete the program are guaranteed employment into family-sustaining union jobs. Tuition for the training is covered by outside financial support, including the Baltimore City MOED Train-Up grant, at no cost to trainees!
Certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute & ServSafe are included, as well as text books, training uniforms, bus pass or gas card, and a small stipend—in addition, culinary trainees receive a knife set and carrying case. The first year’s participants will get a free laptop upon completion!
UNITE HERE Local 7 is the Union for Baltimore’s hospitality workers. The Hospitality Academy is
a partnership with industry employers to recruit, train, and place workers into good union
jobs.
